The examination process of the University is computerized. This has helped in maintaining not only transparency and fairness but also in declaring results very fast. The degree certificates carry hologram.

 

              The evaluation system follows single valuation at UG level and double valuation at P G level. There is provision for revaluation and retotalling at UG level. Students can get xerox copies of the answer scripts at UG level.

 

Examination and Evaluation

     There shall be University examination at the end of each semester. Each course is evaluated for 150 marks. Out of 150 marks 50 marks are earmarked for internal assessment which, is decided by the Department Council. The evaluation to be followed for 50 marks shall be notified by the concerned teacher along with the schedule of lectures and practical in advance i.e at the beginning of the academic semester

     Remaining 100 marks will be earmarked for external examination which will be held at the end of the semester (final examination)

     The duration of each theory paper shall be three hours and it shall be 4 hours in case of blind students.

     There shall be double valuation of semester for each semester for end examination for theory and practical papers. The average of marks awarded by the internal and external examiners shall be taken as the final marks for that particular course

     In case of difference of 20% and above in the marks awarded by the two examiners, the answer paper shall be referred to the third external evaluator. The average of the nearest two scores shall be considered for the final award of the marks for the course.

     Gracing shall be as per Common regulations/ Ordinances/Statutes of the University

     Exam result will be based on 10 point scale adopted by the University

     The Registrar (Evaluation) shall issue a performance card at the end of the semester indicating the courses completed and grades obtained. Cumulative performance also needs to be informed through performance card.

Grade point of a course:

     A measure of quality of work done is obtained by dividing the percentage of marks earned in that course by ten -point scale. The grade point is expressed on a 10 point scale upto second decimal place.

     The result for each courses registered shall be declared as follows.

Provisions for repeaters
  • A candidate who has failed/remained absent for any one or more courses (Theory/Practical/Project), reapplies for appearing the concerned examination shall be called a �Repeater�. She shall pass such papers during the four immediate successive examinations only. Otherwise she shall have to rejoin the course.

  • A candidate who opts to improve in any one or more courses (Theory/Practical/Project) reapplies for improvement. She shall improve such courses within two successive examination only.

  • A candidate is allowed to carry all the previous courses to the subsequent semester(s) examination.

  • Re-examination for odd/even semester shall be conducted concurrently along with regular examination (odd with odd, even with even).

  • The candidates shall take the examination as per the syllabus and the scheme of examination as applicable to her. However, in case a candidate who wish to take examination as per the changed syllabus examination shall be allowed to take examination only after payment of special fee as prescribed the University.

  • A candidate who seeks improvement has to surrender the original marks card of the semester concerned along with her application for improvement. She shall do so in the prescribed form within 40 days of the announcement of result.

  • Improvement is allowed only in theory papers. However, if the candidate fails to improve her performance she shall be permitted to retain the marks secured in the previous attempt.

  • There shall be no provision for improvement of internal assessment marks.

  • The students can oppose the concerned course teacher in which there are mistakes in totaling and evaluation.

Removal of Difficulties
