Students Welfare

Student's Welfare:

A Directorate of Student welfare is functioning to plan and monitor student welfare activities. The directorate plays a key role in implementing various policies of the Central and State Governments regarding student welfare. The Directorate regularly organizes personality development, career guidance and consultancy programs for all students. The Directorate also interacts with colleges, organized co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for students.

Hostels:

The University maintains three hostels with requisite infrastructure and adequate security. Every hostel runs its own mess and is managed by experienced and resident lady wardens. Another women’s hostel is coming up shortly at Torvi campus.

Sports:

A Directorate of sports is functioning to facilitate students to take part in various indoor and outdoor games. It is conducting Inter-departmental and Inter-Collegiate sports meets annually. The University is developing to have its own sports complex at Torvi camus. Students of this university are known for their outstanding performance in sports and excel in state, national and international level sports.

NSS Cell:

The NSS Cell is very active and provides training to the UG and PG students by organizing annual and special camps and socially relevant programs. The NSS cell has two units for Post -graduate students from P G Departments.  The Cell also coordinates with NSS Units of all the affiliated colleges in implementing various programs. The NSS Cell has adopted a number of villages for the over all development.
